CA400WIN-RUNNING CAWIN 3.1 ON WINDOWS 95

** Last updated 3/7/97 **

The Client Access for OS/400 Windows 3.1 client is designed to
run specifically on the 16-bit operating system provided in
Microsoft Windows 3.1x and Windows for Workgroups 3.11. Testing
of the Client Access Windows 3.1 client on Windows 95 systems
has shown that the Windows 95 operating system will not allow
reliable support of this client environment.

Therefore, IBM does not recommend using the Client Access for
for Windows 3.1 client on a Windows 95 PC in a production
environment. IBM will not provide service and support for
problems encountered when running the Client Access for
Windows 3.1 client on a PC using the Windows 95 operating
system.

IBM instead has focused its resources to enhance the Client
Access for OS/400 Family with the addition of a new 32-bit
client for the Microsoft Windows 95 and NT operating systems.
This client will enable PC users to utilize Windows 95 client
functions and AS/400 server capabilities simultaneously.
